Third-party tracking

End-to-end encryption

Direct chats and files are encrypted with X25519 + ChaCha20-Poly1305. The private key lives in your Keychain — Blackbone cannot read the content.

Audio & video calls

1:1 WebRTC calls, DTLS-SRTP encrypted, routed through Blackbone's own TURN relay. Work between iPhone and Mac.

Ephemeral stories

Post photos, video or text visible for 24 hours to your contacts, with a view counter — nothing remains after expiry.

Broadcast channels

Public or private channels with subscribers and per-post view counts, where only admins publish.

Webhook bots

Create bots with their own token, custom commands and an external webhook for automations.

2FA (TOTP)

Two-factor authentication with standard apps (Google Authenticator, 1Password), enabled from settings.

Screenshot blocking

A toggle that blocks screenshots and screen recording in a conversation — and tells you when the other side has it on.

Disappearing messages

Ephemeral mode: after you reply, the previous message is permanently deleted. Both users are informed in the chat.

Groups up to 1000

Groups with owner/admin/member roles, @mentions with autocomplete and dedicated notifications.

Push notifications

Get notified of messages and calls even when the app is closed, with a badge count — via Apple Push Notification service.

Own infrastructure

Fastify + WebSocket server and self-hosted Postgres on the Blackbone cloud. Data never goes to third-party providers.

Privacy by design

No analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no selling data. Custom statuses and fine-grained control.

A complete messenger, built and hosted by Blackbone

Blackbone Messenger is a private alternative to Telegram and WhatsApp, built entirely by Blackbone SRL — from the realtime server to the native clients. We use no third-party messaging services: messages, files and calls flow only through our own infrastructure.
